Azabujuban

Sailor Moon

Usagi Tsukino is an average student and crybaby klutz who constantly scores low on her tests. Unexpectedly, her humdrum life is turned upside down when she saves a cat with a crescent moon on its head. The cat, Luna, later reveals that their meeting was not an accident. Usagi is destined to become Sailor Moon, a planetary guardian with the power to protect the Earth. Given a special brooch that allows her to transform, she must use her new powers and team up with the other Sailor Guardians to save the city from evil energy-stealing monsters and other various ne’er-do-wells.

Several buildings and built places have changed in Azabujuban since 1991, but a surprising number of the locations featured in the original anime are still intact, doubly so for Sailor Moon Chrystal. The location that inspired the game center became a pachinko parlor, and later a McDonalds. Aside from anime locations, I also included pins for the Sailor Moon store in Harajuku, the Roppongi Museum which formerly housed the Sailor Moon Museum Exhibition, and Small Worlds Tokyo. Small Worlds is a tourist trap on Ariake, one wharf away from Odiaba, featuring depictions of Tokyo in miniature. Small Worlds has done collaborations with Sailor Moon and Evangelion.
