Bunny Girl Senpai, or Seishun Buta Yarou, is a light novel series. In the library where Sakuta Azusagawa studies, he runs into a girl in a bunny-girl outfit. She turns out to be Mai Sakurajima, a famous fellow student. His surprise at seeing Mai wear such risqué attire in the library, however, is nothing compared to the shocking realization that he is the only one who can see her. Reminded of an event from his past, Sakuta offers to help Mai discover the reason behind her invisibility. Sakuta attributes Mai’s situation to an urban legend known as Adolescence Syndrome: strange phenomena occurring in youth, unexplained by science and often dismissed as delusion.
The places featured withing Bunnygirl Senpai are mostly in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Pref. and the area in and around Enoshima Shrine. If you’re planning a trip to Enoshima, you might as well check out the Slam Dunk train crossing, some nearby locations from Kakushigoto, and some other nearby locations from Bocchi the Rock. It also shows up in Elfen Lied and Umaru-chan. The Denny’s location on the map has become a very popular ‘holy site’ because of Bunnygirl Senpai.
