While the Yakuza/RGG/Like a Dragon franchise spans multiple decades and a large handful of games, each game takes place in something close to a shared universe with a similar design philosophy and generally speaking, a reoccurring list of real-world Japanese urban neighborhoods. The most frequent are Kabukicho (Kamurocho) in Shinjuku/Tokyo, Dotonbori (Sotenbori) in Osaka, and Isezakicho (Isezaki Ijincho) in Yokohama.
