Gundam plastic models have become a global phenomenon. Special tournaments called Gunpla Battles are established to test a Gunpla enthusiast’s skill both in customization and virtual mock piloting. These incredibly popular Gunpla Battles culminate in an annual global tournament. Sei Iori, a young Gunpla builder whose family owns a Gunpla shop, has a dream of becoming the best Gunpla Fighter. Sei is an excellent builder, but has a rough time piloting and experiences several losses in a row. He soon meets a boy named Reiji whose piloting skills are incredible. Together as a team, they take on the world!
Build Fighters features some key locations for Gundam fans, particularly Gundam Base Tokyo and the Bandai Hobby Factory in Shizuoka. The tournament was held at a convention center in Shizuoka very close to Bandai Hobby Factory. Since Build Divers aired, the Gundam Base RX-78-02 was replaced with a model of the Unicorn Gundam.

If you’re interested in seeing a full-size Grandpa Gundam, you can check out the moving RX-78 at Gundam Factory Yokohama. The only location I found for Build Divers was Yokohama Red Brick in RE:RISE, where an Aile Strike Gundam was posed. This one does not exist in real life. It seems that for a while, there was an active Stamp Rally in Yokohama For Build Divers RE:RISE going between the Gundam Factory and Yokohama Red Brick.
