Elementary school student Ichijou Hotaru has moved with her parents from Tokyo to rural Ashigaoka in the middle of the country. Now she must adapt to her new school, where there are a total of 5 students in the same class who range through elementary and middle school ages. Much emphasis is places on illustrating the natural beauty, quiet, and stillness of life in a small farming community. Non Non Biyori started as a manga and developed into 3 anime seasons and an animated movie.
This map is meant to include locations from the anime seasons and the Okinawa trip movie.
The location inspiration for Non Non Biyori is very collaged together, which is to say that while “Ashigaoka” does not actually exist, many locations, most importantly the schoolhouse, are based on real-life places.
