A young singer dies and becomes a zombie. She joins a singing idol group called Franchouchou with other zombie singer girls representing different periods of Japan’s music history as part of a campaign to save the world, and more importantly, to save Saga prefecture from cultural obscurity.

Zombieland Saga is a 2-season original anime production with spinoff manga and a planned movie.

Zombieland Saga takes place across Saga prefecture, from Saga to Karatsu, Ureshino, Kashima, and Imari. The chicken restaurant exists in real life, not to mention that the home of Franchouchou is actually a history museum in Karatsu inside a historic estate.
